Golden Heart

Production Designer | Prop Master

“Shooting with child actors is often considered difficult, but our young actors were delightful and easy to work with. My role as production designer for this project involved much work with props. The props played a crucial role in advancing the characters' storylines, and Nicholas and Jacob were very patient with the adjustments and handling of the props. Applying my graphic design skills to create a convincing fake prop book was also satisfying. One of the biggest challenges during the shoot was working on location in Idyllwild, California. The terrain, limited daylight, and the physical strain of moving large dressing pieces such as tents and sleeping bags made it quite demanding. For the interior tent shots, DP Nick Ramsey and I worked together. We had multiple tents with varying holes cut into them for lighting and camera positioning.”
