“Working on this short film was an absolute blast! Collaborating with director Justin Head was a dream – he gave me free rein to work on the design, and we vibed on our vision for the project. It's not every day that I get to dive into something as unique and avant-garde as this, and being able to play with period ambiguity, black-and-white cinematography, amazing camera effects, and SPFX was just thrilling. The design was all about practical lighting, textures, and contrasting tones (forget about colors!). I got to add window cling and drapery and even wallpapered our protagonist's room to bring texture and vibrancy to every shot. Justin is a super creative director, and Queen of the Dead has scored so many accolades. It was an absolute joy to be part of this project. Just check out these stunning stills!”
